What This Guide Covers
- How to use Preslie without a wearable
- How to connect your phone health data
- What data you can track using your phone only
- How this supports Coaching Insights and Health Trends
Do You Need a Wearable?
No.
You can use Preslie with only your smartphone.
Preslie can read health and activity data from your phone’s built-in health platform to help identify patterns linked to resilience capacity, recovery, movement, and performance.
Wearables may provide richer data, but they are not required to get value from the platform.

FAQ: Using Preslie Without a Wearable
Can I still get value from Preslie without a wearable?
Yes. Preslie is designed to work with habits, KPIs, and basic phone data. Behaviour tracking is the primary driver of progress. Wearables add depth, not necessity.
What kind of data can my phone track on its own?
Most phones can track steps, movement, and basic activity patterns. Depending on your setup, sleep and heart rate data may also be available.
Will my insights be less accurate without a wearable?
Insights may be less detailed, but still meaningful. Patterns in behaviour and self-reported data are enough to guide coaching decisions and identify trends.
Do I need to install additional apps to track activity?
Not always. iPhone uses Apple Health by default. On Android, Health Connect may require Google Fit or Samsung Health depending on your device setup.
Why is my phone not tracking activity properly?
This is usually due to permissions or tracking settings being disabled. Ensure motion tracking or activity tracking is enabled on your device.
How long does it take before I start seeing insights?
Initial signals can appear within a few days, but more meaningful patterns typically develop over 1–2 weeks of consistent use.
Can I switch to a wearable later?
Yes. You can connect a wearable at any time. Preslie will begin incorporating additional data once permissions are granted.
Is the AI Health Scan required?
No. It is optional and designed to provide additional context. You can use Preslie fully without it.
What if no data is showing at all?
Check that:
- permissions are enabled
- your phone is tracking activity
- Preslie has access to your health platform
If issues persist, follow the troubleshooting guide.
What is the most important thing to focus on without a wearable?
Consistency. Regular habit tracking and KPI check-ins are the foundation of meaningful progress
