Using the Preslie App and AI Reflection Companion
Preslie is the AI reflection companion within the PrescribeLife.AI system.
It supports behaviour change between coaching sessions by helping you reflect, track habits, and identify patterns.
Getting Started
Do I need a wearable to use Preslie?
No. You can use all core features without a wearable.
Wearables add additional insight, but behaviour tracking and reflection are the foundation of progress.
Can I use the app without health data?
Yes. You can:
- track habits
- engage with reflections
- Communicate with your coach
- view progress over time
Which wearables are supported?
Any device that syncs with:
- Apple Health (iOS)
- Health Connect (Android)
This includes Apple Watch, Oura, Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung Health, and others.
Habits and Daily Progress
How do I add or complete a habit?
Go to Habits and tap the + button.
You can:
- Set a start date
- add reminders
- track daily completion
Why aren’t my habits showing today?
This is normal if:
- The habit is not scheduled for today
- You created it for a future date
- The app hasn’t refreshed yet
Open the app again to trigger a sync.
Why did my habits disappear or reset?
Common reasons:
- Your coach updated your plan
- The habit reached its end date
- You changed views (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Your focus drivers changed
Switch between views to see the full list.
Can I create my own habits?
Yes. You can add and customise habits at any time.
Health Data and Scores
Why are my health scores not updating?
Preslie only displays data from Apple Health or Health Connect.
If those apps have not synced, your scores will not update.
Why do my scores look different from my wearable?
Preslie standardises data into:
- Sleep
- Readiness
- Activity
- Wellbeing
The trend (up, stable, down) is what matters, not exact numbers.
What does “Wellbeing” represent?
A combined signal based on:
- sleep
- activity
- recovery patterns
- optional AI scan input
It reflects overall balance over time.
AI Health Scan
What does the scan measure?
The scan estimates:
- pulse
- HRV
- breathing patterns
This helps refine your insights.
No images or videos are stored.
Why did my scan fail?
Common causes:
- poor lighting
- movement
- camera positioning
Try again with:
- stable positioning
- good lighting
- face centred
Why didn’t my data update after scanning?
Tap Update Health Vitals when prompted.
This refreshes your scores.
Working With Your Coach
How do I message my coach?
Go to Coach → Chat
Where do I see tasks?
Go to Coach → Tasks
Tasks appear after your coach assigns them and sync when you open the app.
How do I log wins or topics?
- Wins: Coach → Wins → Add
- Topics: Coach → Topics
Why is my coach not seeing my updates?
Data syncs when:
- Your app is open
- Your device is connected
- insights refresh
If unsure, reopen the app.
Preslie (AI Chat)
Are my chats private?
Yes. Your coach does not see full chat transcripts.
They may see:
- themes
- insights
- patterns
Not your exact messages.
What are the suggested replies?
These help you respond faster in chat.
You can turn them off in Settings.
What do Auto-Tag Wins and Topics do?
Preslie can detect and label:
- wins
- challenges
- coaching themes
You can disable this in Settings.
What Preslie Is and Is Not
Preslie is:
- a reflection and insight tool
- a support system between sessions
- a way to track behaviour and patterns
Preslie is not:
- a medical tool
- a diagnostic system
- a replacement for your coach

How do I manage notifications?
Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications
Where can I view privacy policies?
Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy
How do I sign out?
Go to Profile → Settings → Sign Out
Troubleshooting
Why is my wearable disconnected?
This may happen if:
- permissions changed
- your phone updated
- Background activity was restricted
Fix:
- Re-enable permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect
- reopen the app
Why do I see missing or outdated data?
This usually means:
- Your wearable hasn’t synced yet
Once it syncs, Preslie updates automatically.
Why do I see “Something went wrong”?
This is usually a temporary connection issue.
The app will refresh automatically once reconnected.
